Select a Template

When Blackfoot Hosting supplies a person, organization or business with a hosting plan, it includes RVSiteBuilder, which is an online program made to help a person or team of people create a custom website to their liking.
The question you’re probably asking yourself is this: “Can I use it or is it too hard to understand?” Most people will be able to handle it with no problem because it’s pretty straight-forward. There are simple steps to accomplish.

At the main page—Step 1—you’ll see a box that says “Create Project.” Click it. Next, you’re asked to name your project, to keep track of it in case you decide to create more sites later on. Thankfully, there’s a mobile compatible website checkmark box that’s worth checking, since a large percentage of people access websites using their mobile smart phones these days. You can also enter your company name and slogan, as well as pick a category such as business, hotel or music from a drop down menu “Category List.” Then you can checkmark which type of page you want to work on—the “Home” page is automatically checked as that makes sense to be the first one “to do.”

Click save and it’s on to Step 2—the template page appears showing you styles to choose from for the overall look and feel of your site. When you find one you like, click the green select button for it; it’s the way to access a particular template and try it out. On the left hand side of the screen, you can make adjustments for things such as “space over banner” and “color tone.” You’re also able to upload jpeg photos and graphics. Basically, Step 2 is where the fun happens as you fill in the boxes with content and/or pictures—creating the layout, organization and content of the particular page. When satisfied with how it looks and reads, presumably click the upper left button that says “Update Template.” To the right, there’s a preview button to see how it’ll look online, as well as the publish button.
Feeling good? Go on—click the publish button. A new screen appears and a whole bunch of technical stuff automatically happens—you’ll see green check marks to show the computer is doing its job figuring out your website. After about a minute, you’ll see your published home page the way you made it! Congrats—it’s “live” on the Internet for all to see.

Step 3 is where you can organize and edit the several pages you’ll end up making, like the “Home” page, the “About us” page, and the “Contact us” page. Some extra options like adding meta tags are available if you know what those are and want to add them.

RVSiteBuilder allows you to be your own webmaster, making changes to your pages as needed, rather than hoping someone else will get around to it. You don’t have to be a computer programmer or expert to build your own good-looking, properly functioning website. RV Site Builder allows you to create an attractive site quickly.
